Abstract
"This chapter blends African oral and written narratives, lived experiences with a genetic chronic disability and a Roman Catholic upbringing. These will be interrogated to illustrate the role of alternative explanations in influencing advocacy and activism for the lives, wellbeing, dignity and inclusion of persons with disabilities. Particularly, this chapter is an exploration of self-identity and how persons with disabilities are conditioned to view ourselves in specific ways while highlighting alternative perceptions available is presented by the author. It engages the works of several African and African-descendent authors who feature persons with disabilities as characters in their books and relies on narrative prosthesis as the basis for this engagement."

Healing Justice Collective London seeking evaluator(s)

We are looking for a Research & Evaluation Partner for our Movement Medicine programme. 

We need you to help develop and implement a framework and methodology for evaluating the programme. 12 month project, running from March 2025 to March 2026. Budget up to £45k.

What we’re looking for:
Interdisciplinary research skills
Experience conducting enthographic work in somatic/internal transformation
Ability to synthesise complex ideas and real time analysis into frameworks and resources
