Abstract
"This chapter blends African oral and written narratives, lived experiences with a genetic chronic disability and a Roman Catholic upbringing. These will be interrogated to illustrate the role of alternative explanations in influencing advocacy and activism for the lives, wellbeing, dignity and inclusion of persons with disabilities. Particularly, this chapter is an exploration of self-identity and how persons with disabilities are conditioned to view ourselves in specific ways while highlighting alternative perceptions available is presented by the author. It engages the works of several African and African-descendent authors who feature persons with disabilities as characters in their books and relies on narrative prosthesis as the basis for this engagement."

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) kindly requests that you disseminate the call to relevant institutions and stakeholders within your network, inviting them to submit tenders for the following: Evaluation service to assess the relevance of the PhosAgro/UNESCO/IUPAC partnership in green chemistry, its effectiveness (i.e. the fulfilment of its objectives), and its efficiency, and to generate recommendations to UNESCO in view of renewing the current Partnership Agreement with PhosAgro, which will expire in October 2025.
