Work and Women's Economic Empowerment

Mubashira Zaidi, from ISST, authored the chapter, 'Work and Women's Economic Empowerment in Tribal Rajasthan, India' in part 3, Emerging Dimensions in the Understanding of Women’s Unpaid Work of the book!

I get tired and then I get up too .
I smile and I frown too
I work and I laze too
I sleep and I get up early too
I dream and I am realistic too
I complaint and be complacent too
I compliment and I want appreciation too.
Yes I am all this and all that more
But I don't want to be celebrated on only one day anymore
I believe in rights
And call upon you to say it out loud too
Equality, Dignity, Freedom is how we wish
Happy International Women's Day to you

Wow. This speaks simple truths. We are all this and more and one day of the year is nice, but not quite enough in 2021.

Merci. Jolie poème qui présente les actions et les désirs d'action des femmes.
