Abstract
"This chapter blends African oral and written narratives, lived experiences with a genetic chronic disability and a Roman Catholic upbringing. These will be interrogated to illustrate the role of alternative explanations in influencing advocacy and activism for the lives, wellbeing, dignity and inclusion of persons with disabilities. Particularly, this chapter is an exploration of self-identity and how persons with disabilities are conditioned to view ourselves in specific ways while highlighting alternative perceptions available is presented by the author. It engages the works of several African and African-descendent authors who feature persons with disabilities as characters in their books and relies on narrative prosthesis as the basis for this engagement."

Participez au PIFED Québec 2020 – du 6 au 17 juillet 2020 

Depuis 10 ans, le Programme international de formation en évaluation du développement répond aux besoins de renforcement des capacités en évaluation des administrations publiques de pays d’Afrique francophone et d’Haïti.

Le PIFED est une formation internationalement reconnue, offerte par l'École nationale d'administration publique (ENAP) du Québec, au Canada, en collaboration avec IEG de la Banque mondiale et avec l'appui financier d'Affaires mondiales Canada. 

Le PIFED c’est : 

  • Le plus important programme de formation francophone en évaluation du développement 
  • Une formation axée sur la pratique qui ouvre la voie vers deux certifications universitaires décernées par l’ENAP 
  • Plus de 1 500 personnes formées, qui peuvent échanger dans une communauté de pratique virtuelle animée par l’ENAP 

Concours de bourse

  • 50 bourses de 4 600 $ CA seront décernées à des femmes évaluatrices et à des acteurs et actrices en égalité
  • 50 bourses de 1 000 $ CA* seront décernées aux personnes concernées par l’évaluation 

La date limite pour soumettre votre candidature pour une bourse est le 8 mars 2020.
