UN Women Training Centre is hosting a Webinar on "Privilege, Power and Training for Gender Equality" (Tuesday, 25 June 2019, 11:00 NY time/17:00 CET) to discuss how we can address privilege through, and within, gender training. Four experts are joining us - Laxman Belbase of MenEngage, Dr Andrea Cornwall of SOAS University of London, Dr Lucy Ferguson of the Graduate Institute of Geneva, and Dr Joanne Sandler of Gender at Work.
We welcome participants interested in gender evaluation to add to the discussions. What do privilege and power mean to you when we work towards gender equality? How can gender-sensitive evaluations address issues of privilege and power? How can we use training opportunities to address these issues? How can we engage with resistances that arise (and what are these resistances) when we look at issues of privilege vis-a-vis gender equality? See the Concept Note below to learn more.Concept%20Note_Virtual%20Dialogue14_Privilege_FINAL.pdf
