We are excited to bring to you the second iteration of Women and Work Course, this year, a residential certificate course in Delhi !
If you or your organization’s work involves engagement with women/ gender/ livelihood/ work or all of the above and you are interested in indulging in depth with the intersection of gender with work, this course is for you!
Our 9 day residential certificate course Women + Work: Making it Count is open for application. This learning experience has been co-created by ISST with support and guidance from the field experts and practitioners.
What is Women and Work Course?
Women and Work is a contemporary, dynamic, evolving, perspective-building course developed by ISST, deriving from its 40-years of learning experience through research in the domain of women and work. The main objectives of the course are to-
Create linkages between macro structures and micro work locations and equip participants with tools for discernment of the complex relationship between identity and work in diverse settings.
Who should apply?
The course is curated specifically for activists, practitioners, policymakers, community organisers and researchers based in South Asia. If you are a development sector professional working in the domains of gender, economy, livelihood, skilling, work, labour rights and/or gendered data and have direct engagement with women in the grassroots- this course is for you. We especially welcome applications from marginalised groups, including women, queer, non-binary and trans persons.
What does the learning journey look like?
It is a nine day Residential Course in Delhi. The focus of this course is not on providing information alone but to facilitate a dynamic space for participants to engage in and capacitate them with necessary perspective, vocabulary and tools to appropriately frame and approach emerging debates/ discourses on women and work; and make informed strategies within their work.
Is there a course fee?
The Course itself is free of cost but we expect all participants to be able to bear the cost of travel to the residence in Delhi. We offer some travel support for grassroot organisations and early career researchers.
How can you apply?
Please apply by 7 October 2022. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis. The shortlisted applicants will be called for an interview. If selected, you will be notified over email by 20th Oct, 2022.
