F Njahîra Wangarî - Book Chapter

Abstract
"This chapter blends African oral and written narratives, lived experiences with a genetic chronic disability and a Roman Catholic upbringing. These will be interrogated to illustrate the role of alternative explanations in influencing advocacy and activism for the lives, wellbeing, dignity and inclusion of persons with disabilities. Particularly, this chapter is an exploration of self-identity and how persons with disabilities are conditioned to view ourselves in specific ways while highlighting alternative perceptions available is presented by the author. It engages the works of several African and African-descendent authors who feature persons with disabilities as characters in their books and relies on narrative prosthesis as the basis for this engagement."

Dear fellow evaluators. I am appealing for your help.

I have been on a long road towards finalizing my thesis towards a Masters degree in Evaluation. I am finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and am conducting the interview stage as part of my data collection. I am researching how context is integrated into evaluations that use the OECD DAC evaluation criteria. I feel very strongly about this subject because I feel this is an area that is often spoken of, called for but lacks practical application. I am looking at understanding this issue more in an attempt to hopefully improve our evaluation practice. If you have experience conducting evaluations using the OECD DAC criteria and are open to a 45-minute online call, I’d love to hear from you. Interviews will be confidential and scheduled at your convenience.
If you are willing to speak with me please comment here or message me directly or email me at natashavoronova@gmail.com.
As a gesture of gratitude, I would be happy to share my research findings with you and should there be enough interest, organize an online presentation and invite you to it.
Thank you.
Natalia
