I found this statement powerful- Oosterhoff and Wilkinson remind us that, in mistrusting ‘community’..., while failing to provide sufficient resources to those same individuals to enable their ‘appropriate’ management of the disease.

I am working with Pauline Oosterhoff and recently we had this discussion. Both community engagement and a strong link between communities and those providing medical services is essential for effective response.
