Engaging with children and young people in evaluation ensures that they actively contribute to the decisions being made by adults about programming, advocacy, and partnerships that directly affect their lives and future. The three panelists, winners of the UNICEF WCARO/AfrEA Child-Focused Evaluation competition launched in 2021, will share some unique experiences developed across Africa in this relevant area of work, along with some concrete tools (e.g. visuals and adapted measuring instruments) that could be employed to better engage with children and young people in evaluation processes in the future.
