F Njahîra Wangarî - Book Chapter

Abstract
"This chapter blends African oral and written narratives, lived experiences with a genetic chronic disability and a Roman Catholic upbringing. These will be interrogated to illustrate the role of alternative explanations in influencing advocacy and activism for the lives, wellbeing, dignity and inclusion of persons with disabilities. Particularly, this chapter is an exploration of self-identity and how persons with disabilities are conditioned to view ourselves in specific ways while highlighting alternative perceptions available is presented by the author. It engages the works of several African and African-descendent authors who feature persons with disabilities as characters in their books and relies on narrative prosthesis as the basis for this engagement."

South Asian PF leader shares experience with African parliamentarians

Hon. Kabir Hashim, Member of Parliament - Sri Lanka and the leader of the Parliamentarians Forum for Development Evaluation presented the South Asian experience in engaging parliamentarians in evaluation with African parliamentarians at the 7th AfrEA conference held in Yaounde, Cameroon. A two day workshop was conducted for African parliamentarians jointly by AfrEA, AfDB, UNICEF, UN Women and EvalPartners. The aim of the workshop was to strengthen legislators in Africa in evaluation based on South Asian experience. Please find attached Hon. Hashim's presentation.
