Event Description

Why our course

Gender has become a buzzword in development— but what does it mean in practice? This course will increase your personal awareness in spotting gender stereotypes in your projects and work, and how these reinforce inequality. You will learn how to identify current gender issues and take action on them through designing a gender-responsive project in all phases of the project
cycle— in its Theory of Change, indicators, budget, monitoring and evaluation.

You will learn to:

  • Identify how stereotypes play a role in day-to-day life.
  • Distinguish gender issues in the different phases of the project cycle.
  • Identify actions to make your project more gender-responsive, including the design of an inclusive Theory of Change, gender-sensitive indicators, and gender budget analysis.
  • Apply gender analytical tools to support more inclusive development programming.
  • Analyse your organisation through a gender lens.
