Event Description

Extensive course: Creating gender-responsive programmes and organisations

'Gender’ is more than a buzzword in development jargon. This course builds your ability in dealing with inclusiveness and gender issues to ensure that development benefits all. You learn to systematically analyse differences in interest, power and decision making among different social groups; men and women, girls, boys, youth and elderly, able and disable, and how to capitalise on each group's strengths.

What you will gain:

    • Learn about development interventions and gender issues.
    • Implement gender analyses in project cycle management.
    • Develop objectives for sustainable change.
    • Do a gender impact assessment.
    • Discover gender in the organisation.

“I knew gender was more than talking about men and women. The training guided me step by step how to be truly inclusive in our projects.”

This is a blended training course

In this course, we offer you a blended learning trajectory, combining online learning and face-to-face training. The first 3 weeks of the course, you learn by distance through the online learning platform. This online part takes 2-3 hours per week. The face-to-face part includes 8 days in Ede, the Netherlands.

I totally agree with you Annastacia! You can find more information about the content of the course and price on our website: https://mdf.nl/gender-mainstreaming-development-programmes-netherlands

Unfortunately, the application window for scholarships has already closed for this year, so this course isn't available with scholarships. The costs of this course are €3550 but include the online part of the course, 3 weeks of face-to-face learning in the Netherlands, course materials, refreshments and lunches during course days and a study visit.

I hope to see you back in October!
